The object studied in this thesis, of which the purpose is to investigate the trend of the China time-honored brand, is the design of the storefront being China time-honored brand. This thesis will be completed through the specifically following three parts.The main content of the first part is that through understanding the basic concepts, industry classification and characteristics of the time-honored brand, it distinguishes the design of the time-honored storefront from the design of the general one. The biggest difference between them is the cultural inheritance of the former, which can be reflected from the plaque, signboard, antithetical couplets and the unique architectural form. This part paves the way for the development of the form of the storefront being time-honored brand in the following parts.The main content of the second part is that through analyzing the basic form of the storefront being China time-honored brand (traditional Chinese style and the mixture style of China and West) and the basic form of the storefront being non-time-honored brand (exclusive shop of general brand and special brand---the museum of brands) with specific cases, it summarizes the similarities and differences of the time-honored brands and the non-time-honored ones for searching the meeting point of the trend of the development of the storefront being the time-honored brand.The third part is a summary of the trend of development and prospect of the design of the storefront being the time-honored brand, that is to say, the development of the design of the storefront being time-honored brand first inherits and innovates the traditional Chinese form of the storefront, with the specific approach being "making the old as an old one "and "making the old as a new one"; second should learn from the storefront forms of exclusive shops of modern celebrated brands, developing toward the direction of emphasizing the emotion and deeply experiencing, i.e., the storefront of experience.The research of the design of the storefront being time-honored brand presented in this thesis is helpful to promote the research into the design theory of the form of the local Chinese storefront, and to inherit and highlight the cultural and economic value in deep level, and to play a greater role in the economic construction. Another purpose of this thesis is to explore a way for the reviving and developing of the time-honored brands, at the same time to search a meeting point of historic deposits and modern applications.The research into the design of the storefront being time-honored brand has a far-reaching significance for the development of the design of the storefront of the Chinese enterprises, as well as the heritage of national culture.
