Based on the speech act theory in Pragmatics, with the series of textbooks of New Practical Chinese Reader as the research object, this thesis analyzes the speech acts involved in textbooks with method of statistical classification, and focuses on researching the arrangement of textbooks involved typical speech acts.Through the theory analysis of the statistical results, this thesis found that the arrangement of speech acts in textbooks is arbitrary and unbalanced, without forming obvious gradients and levels. In addition, based on Searle's classification of illocutionary acts, considering the typicalness and universality of speech acts, its frequency of occurrences in textbooks, and the representativeness and distribution of the examples of each speech act, the thesis specially analyzes the four speech acts of thanks, apologies, suggestions and requests. Through the comparison and illustration analysis between Chinese model and textbook model of speech acts, the thesis summarizes the characteristics and deficiency of distribution and arrangement in speech acts, puts forward that the speech act arrangement of TCSL textbooks should follow these principles:from easiness to difficulty, difficulty alternating with easiness, intensive training, the contents corresponding to each other, and offers some advices for the arrangement of speech acts.
