Creating Chinese Language Learning Environment In International Schools

The thesis focuses on strategies for creating the Chinese language environment in international schools.In the international schools of China, when foreign students learn Chinese language, the language environment is limited in class, but it is broader and more vivid out of class. Therefore, we should create an engaging language in class and make good use of the Chinese language in the wider community.From both theory and practice aspect, this thesis analyzed the relationship between the language environment and the language study and emphasized the importance of making full use of in class and after class language environment for Chinese education. It indicated that we should create an effective way to connect between the small language environment in the classroom and the wider language environment outside the classroom as there is great advantage for the international school students to learn Chinese in China. It also introduced various ways for successfully making a bond between in class and after class Chinese language learning background, such as appropriate teaching materials, Chinese language activities, connection between Chinese language and Chinese culture.
