Research Objective This paper tries to explore the possible influence of emotional intelligence and achievement motivation on job performance by studying professional employees in the organization context, in order to provide reference for organization to select, develop and inspire talents.Research Approaches:Based on the previous studies at home and aboard on the relationship of emotional intelligence and job performance, relationship of achievement motivation and job performance, the study uses a self-reporting questionnaire to survey 192 professional employees include managers from 5 organizations in Shanghai.Result1. Professional employees'job performance has significant difference on job positions, not on gender or years of working; No signification difference on emotional intelligence and achievement intelligence by gender, job positions or years of working.2. Emotional intelligence is a complete mediate variable between achievement motivation and job performance, achievement motivation influence job performance by influencing emotional intelligence; the level of motive to avoid failure has a significant influence level of performance by influencing emotional intelligence, emotional intelligence is a complete mediate variable between the motive to avoid failure and job performance.3. Emotional intelligence shows a significant positive relationship with job performance, emotional intelligence can predict job performance; one of dimensions "Other'Emotional Appraisal" has an impact on level job performance significantly4. Achievement motivation shows a significant positive relationship with job performance, achievement motivation can predict job performance; the motive to avoid failure has a reverse impact on level of job performance significantlyï¼›the relationship of the motive to achjeve success and job performance is not significant.
