The Chu-PengCheng state was one of the most important kingdoms in Han Dynasty. It basically presented in the Han Dynasty. So its prospering or decline, and its internal development could reflect the existing satuation of all the states in Two-Han Dynasty well. This essay uses the historical documents and archaeological materials that related tothe Chu-PengCheng state,combining with the macro background of the political, the economic, the academic and the religious in Two-Han Dynasty. And it tries as much as possible to restore the historical features of the Chu-PengCheng State in political, economic and cultural. And reveals the relationship between the government and the states. Moreover, the characteristics, influence and effects of the state-system in this period are discussed.This article includes the introduction, the main body and the conclusion.The introduction part summarizes the significance, the present research and the research method of the topic.The main body of the essay includes three chapters:The first chapter elaborates the political evolution of Chu-PengCheng state in Han-Dynasty, and it is divided in three parts. The first part summarizes the basic stuation of the Chu-PengCheng state in Two-Han Dynasty,such as the historical and political evolution, and the region and population's change. Then it limits the specific scope of the Chu-PengCheng state,And makes a list to sum up the inheritors of the throne. The second part is to find the relationship among the king, the state and the government. The policy changes toword Chu-Pengcheng state are also analyzed in the background of the aim to strengthen the central forces and weaken the local ones, in addition to the biological relation between the state and the emperor. The third part is to discuss the function of the Chu-Pengcheng state to the government, focusing on the three rebellions the Chu state joined. And it analyzes the causes, the processes and the consequences of the rebellions.Chapter two is to study the outlook of Chu-PengCheng state's economic development in Han-Dynasty. The first part is about the development of the major economic sectors in Chu-PengCheng state, such as agricultural, business and handicrafts. The second part focouses on how natural and man-made disasters effect the economic development of Chu-PengCheng state.The third chapter describes the culture and teligious belief of Chu-PengCheng state. Firstly, it narrates the two stages of the confucianism in Chu-PengCheng state, combining the culturel policies at different times.Secondly, it summarizes the reasons why Buddhism and Taoism rised in Chu-PengCheng state.And discusses their history in the state.
