A Study Of The Art Ensemble's Music Activities In Zhejiang Province At The Beginning Of The Founding Of New China

This paper attempts to give a review and evaluation on the history of the music activities hold by "Art Ensemble" in Zhengjiang province in the early days of New China. The "Art Ensemble" is an art performance troupe in contemporary music history period. With endeavors of consulting a large amount of historical data, interviewing relevant parties. and analyzing synthetically, based on the constructing the historical narrative framework to the "Art Ensemble", the author explores the music activities historical background, unique contribution and profound influence of "Art Ensemble".Three main parts are included in this paper, the introduction, the main part of the paper and the conclusion. The following issues are illustrated in the introduction:the research significance, the research objective, literature review and research methodology adopted.In the main part, four parts are explained in detail from four parts, they are the general status of the establishment of Zhejiang "Art Ensemble", the re-played music works, the new creation of music works and the consequences and functions to the Music in nowadays Zhejiang province caused by the art ensembles in Zhejiang province. In Chapter one, "The General Status of the Establishment of Zhejiang "Art Ensemble", it focuses on the social and historic background of the "Art Ensemble" at the beginning of the founding of New China. In Chapter two, "The Re-played Music Works by Zhejiang Art Ensembles" and Chapter three, "The Adaption and Creation of Music Works by Zhejiang Art Ensembles", try to research on the history of ensemble's music activities and analyze with evaluation to the re-played music works and the newly adapted and created music works by art ensembles from different issues. In the last Chapter. "The Consequences and Functions to the Music in Nowadays Zhejiang Province Caused by the Art Ensembles in Zhejiang province" the consequences and functions to the establishment of the professional groups in Zhejiang and the nurturing of artistic talents caused by ensemble's music activities are portrayed here, then to make a overall comment on ensemble's music activities in order to deduce the derivation real significance of music activities. In the conclusion, it mainly summarize the successful experience of the art ensembles in Zhejiang province in terms of developing new music culture, promoting music art development, and exploring music teaching approaches and so on. therefore to evaluate objectively its historical status and value.
