Discussion On English Translation Of Chinese Round Number

This thesis discusses some special approximate number problems when they were translated from Chinese into English, mainly through the specific comparative analysis to summarize the rules of Chinese approximate number. The article can be divided into four parts as follows:Part one and two mainly describe the research achievements of previous studies,Part one summarizes the Chinese approximate numbers'research achievements, also including the different terms of the"approximate number"and the category problems.Part two was about the research achievements of English approximate number; separately discussed the expressions of the approximate number in English and the achievements about Chinese approximate numbers translate into English.Part three and part four give us some special problems when translate approximate numbers into English. Part three introduces some translated problems when Chinese numbers were used together to express the meaning of approximate number.This article explores comparative analysis method as specific translation rules, including analyze the different examples belong to different authors, and comparative analysis among different periods.
