Nanci originated from Suzhou. In the Reign of late-Ming Dynasty it began to spread abroad and then prevailed all over the country of china. About in the Daoguang reign period, the influent of (Qing dynasty) "Nanci" reached Fujian province, especially the north, west, south part of Fujian province where border on Jiangxi province. One part of this paper refers to the argument of the origin of Nanci, one attribute Nanping Nanci, the orthodox genre of "Sutan" to the introduction by a merchantman from Suzhou, the other suppose it was bring in from Jiangxi. In this paper, the studies and comparison of a variety of related music of "Nanping Nanci" with "Sutan", "Ganzhou Nanbeici" by examining their similarity and characteristics, from narrated materials and the document of migration, culture and commercial intercommunication, are fulfilled. In this investigation, there are some doubful points about the statement of "Orthodox school of Su". Actually Nanping Nanci consists of Nanci and Beidiao, these two categories of melody. In the view of musical configuration, there is obvious discrepancy between Nanci and Sutan about the melody in "Nanci" part, while in this aspect NanpingNanci is more similar with "Ganzhou Nanbeici" which is never appear in Sutan and commonly exist in Nanci of Jiangxi. Therefore it can be stated that the introducution of Jiangxi Nanci and beici should be involved in origin of Nanping Nanci, except for the impart of the merchantman Li from Suzhou.
