The basic issue of education is what kind of people are going to be prepared. Based on the increasingly severe eco-crisis which mankind is facing nowadays, the thesis explores the perceptions and pursuit on the specification of training people in education from the angle of moral education.Ecological crisis has not only caused the survival crisis of mankind, but also raised a new topic for moral education, that is eco-moral education, because the essence of ecological crisis is the values and ethics of mankind The first section of the thesis analyzes the distinction between ecology and environment and lays high emphasis on ecology for it looks the world as a whole while discarding environment because of its traditional and narrow anthropocentric trend Constructing concepts such as ecological morality, eco-moral education and rational eco-man, the thesis has gained its necessary foundation. Following these, it discusses the necessity and liability of enhancing eco-moral education and training rational eco-man from the aspects of theory and reality. The modern theory of eco-systematic unity, functional alienation and the theory of chaotic evolution indicate the theoretical ground of enhancing eco-moral education and training rational eco-man The eagerness for reinforcing eco-moral education is illustrated by the crisis of biodiversity, historical development tendency of moral education and the society's ignorance towards the eco-moral educationTraining rational eco-man is the fundamental aim of eco-moral education and how to attain the aim is the work of the other two parts of the thesis The expected qualities of rational eco-man determine the methods of eco-moral education The middle section makes a detailed analysis of the qualities. For a long time, mankind has dominated nature and been accustomed to obtaining from nature greedily and excessively. This has resulted in the ecological crisis and made it difficult for mankind to develop sustainablely. In order to realize the sustainable development, firstly, the rational eco-man has to establish the belief that mankind is one ordinary member of nature and should be awe of all the living things. Secondly, the rational eco-man should establish the perception of pursuing and realizing sustainable development. This requires not only clean production so that the sources of ecological pollution and destruction can be eliminated, but also green consumption in order that the deterioration and pervasion of eco-crisis can be prevented. Thirdly, rational eco-man has to establish the justice belief to counter the international ecological invasion, to protect his own ecological interestsand to contribute to setting up a just and sustainable developing world.The above brand new qualities determine a completely new training strategy of which constructing the activity eco-moral education curriculum is the critical part. With the experience and lessons from multi-disciplinary model and inter-disciplinary model of the international ecological education, this curriculum is based on various kinds of activities that the trainees participate in. It fundamentally changes the traditionally moral education and thus is demanding to the educators. It requires them to change the traditional notions of teachers and students and create the totally new democratic, equal and cooperative teacher-student relationship. Thus the training of teachers concerned must be done properly. These inter-related links determine that it is a full dimensional system to reinforce eco-moral education. Every link has to be tackled appropriately, otherwise the scheme can only exist in the realm of ideology and the ecological crisis cannot be foundationally reversed.
