National Cutural Conflict And Integration Embodied By The Development Of The Image Of Wang Zhaojun

Wang Zhaojun, is a legendary figure in china's history, on whom there are not only the tragedic sublime and greatness, but also the comedy embarrassment and bewilderment.Cohering about two thousand gears' extensively abundantly and profoundly social contents, having rich art inspiration, Wang Zhaojun is also an important cultural image in china's literature history. Since about two thousand years, it has put off her historic dresses slowly and has corresponded to people's spirit expectations at different times and different social stratum in Art Palace.The key of Zhaojun's tale lies mainly on "going abroad", because of the thing, Zhaojun is involved inevitably in the problem of national relations. The thesis tries to focus on the development of the image of Zhaojun in literature and history, (it also includes the development of ideological theme of the works about Zhaojun. And the development of the tragic theme of the image of Zhaojun.) and to discuss the national cultural conflict and integration.Firstly: the thesis appraises Zhaojun's "He Qin" Men of letters took two kinds of attitude towards "He Qin" policy: though someone before Qin dynasty think highly of the policy, most scholars opposed it; while Qing scholars agreed on "He Qin"policy fundamentally.Secondly: the development of the image of Zhaojun embodies national cultural conflict. This kind of conflict is not only between customs but also between moral principals. Among them, the latter contains conflict between chastity and between national integrity.Lastly: the development of the image of Zhaojun reflects national cultural integration. This kind of integration can be found through two aspects: one is the integration of the cultural ideas between the Han people and minority nationalities. Embodied by "Pi Pa", which is greatly appeared in works about praising Zhaojun. ("Pi Pa", a plucked string instrument with a fretted fingerboard) the other is that "Qing Zhong"(Zhaojun's tomb with green grass) greatly appeared in works about praising Zhaojun shows that the Han people and minority nationalities have accepted Zhaojun's fate in minds.In Han dynasty, Wang Zhaojun is historic, in poets' works, she is artistic. Artistic things always have a sense of beauty, so charms of Wang Zhaojun, the artistic image will be eternal.
