Poetry and musicality are homogeneous. Each was a part of the primitive universal art, and diversified into two independent forms. However, they are separated but still in connected thought in that it is impossible to cut off their homogeneity, and different arts bear on the breakthrough of their formal barriers and the implementation of their convergent. Under such background an unique poetry musicality comes into being.According to Susanne.k.Langer's theory, art is an image created by non-inferential symbols. Each art form is composed of a main art image and many "secondary images" which are set-through by other art forms. Musicality is a "secondary image" in poetry and an important way to form emotional life images of poetry.Poetry and prose are literary images formed by linguistic signs. They are identical in nature but different in functions, i.e. different methods and effects. Isolated from the emotional and meaning transference, musicality does not exist.
