The surpassing takes place on two different level: interior surpassing and exterior surpassing .The function of. education is to realize the integrity of human being's interior and exterior surpassing.In history, neither Chinese traditional virtue education and Western traditional religious education, nor the technology education of recent time ,is one-side education. Because they did not realize the integrity of interior and exterior surpassing . Chinese traditional education put too much emphasis on the ethics . It ignored the relationship between the nature and human beings and the equal relationship between man and man . Western traditional religious education emphasized the relationship between mankind and himself ,that is human's pursuit of significance .But religious education hindered greatly the scientific and technological development what's more ,the atheist control man as the shepherd do to the sheep.The technological rational education in recent history pushed forward the development of productivity and strengthened the ability of man's exterior surpassing .But with the inflation of the instrument ration ,human began ruthlessly to control the nature .and it leaded to human's part from the society and himself.The function of education is to harmonize the relationship between man and nature ,man and man,man and himself .That's to say ,education ,on one hand, enhance man's interior surpassing ,on the other hand ,enhance man's interior surpassing .So the development of thorough education take place in three dimerisions: first is the relationship between man and nature-sustainable development education; second is the relationship between man and society-communication education; third is the relationship between man and himself- -significance and value education. |
