The Sense Of Time And Space Expressed In The Mountain-water And Pastoral Poetry Of Tang Dynasty

Ancient Chinese had their special sense of time and space based on the life philosophy.The cosmos was regarded as an entity of time and space ,in which time control space.The sense had its far-reaching influence on classical Chinese art.As the outstangding representative of classical Chinese art, the mountain-water and pastoral poetry of Tang Dynasty created artistic conception in which feeling and setting happily blended and time and space combined into one.The key of the mountain-water and pastoral poetry of Tang Dynasty created the artistic conception was that the poets devoted their emotions on the natural landscape,and the natural landscape was sentimentalized and lifelized.The paper is divided into two parts as follow.The part one is to explain the traditional sense of time and space, the progression of the mountain-water and pastoral poetry ,and the characteristic of the sense of time and space expressed in the mountain-water and pastoral poetry before Tang Dynasty.The part two is to analyse the three methods that was used to created the artistic conception in the mountain-water and pastoral poetry of Tang Dynasty: the aesthetic excitement got in present ,the building of an independent and complete new world,the method of time to control space and the immanentism of space .
