On The Younger Generation

Content: The emergence of "the younger generation" is a significant matter in Chinese literary world in 1990s. As a new-born novel-creating group ,with the independent life style of the main body and the new strange writing contents, it gets more attention.This thesis will try to give an overall and deep analysis by studying several literary matters about the younger generation of writing and analyzing five selected representative writers of it. The whole essay goes into three chapters. The first chapter tells about the naming struggle of the younger generation of writing and the breaking act which they initiated. In order to display the writing characteristics of the younger generation of writing as a unique writing group and its inner division. The second chapter explains the desirous narrative inclination by studying the version of Qiu Huadong, Zhu Wen and Han Dong ,etc, and analyze the literary significance and valuable effect it brings about. The third chapter deals with its another writing inclination the writing of the pursuit of human depth. This inclination not only owns the valuable continuation of humane spirit in 1980s, and reflects its writing instinct and the deep knowledge of life, but also shows the literary fact of the inner division among the younger generation of writing.
