Mongolian consonants are analysed using some physiological or acoustic instruments, however, there have been devoted to appear specialized works that relate to Mongolian consonants, through of the combination of acoustic analysis of speech and dynamic palatogram. The major part of my thesis concentrats on the consonant cluster of Mongolian Chakhar sub-dialect, in and between syllables, in which the prepositional consonant (including [n], [1], [r], [k]) and the post-positional consonant (including [t] [t], [t], [t], [s], [], observes physiological duration, acoustic duration, frequency domain and palato domain of the consonant cluster. Some phenomenon of co-articulation are also analyzed, such as cause of formation, inlinear overlap along with several variations of prepositional consonant caused by it. In addition, the thesis also involves the connection between acoustics and physiological duration variation, either inside or between syllables.
