Study On The Maternal Social Support Network Of 0～3 Children's Mother In Rural

The maternal social support is that of the member in relation-net in the course of mothers' support to their children. It includes mother, all around people connecting with mothers and their associations with children's mother as a center. The social support to mothers is a main factor which influences mothers' ability of supporting children. Usually, the maternal social support improves the children to develop by influencing mothers' rearing and rearing behavior.The paper makes an investigation of rural mothers whose children are from 0～3 years old. We find out the constructions, characters and influencing factors of social support system through questionnaire, analysis and research of groups. Some results are found:1. The rural mothers' social support-net is rather small, mostly from three to five people. The people of social support are the relationships connecting with the mothers of 0～3 years old infants, with an intimate net. So, the social support-net of mothers of 0～3 years old children needs to spread.2. The social support system of rural mothers of 0～3 years old children is mainly traditional informal social support system, with the family support as a core. The formal social support system can give extremely little support to them, and they can get the limited support from it. So, extremely large latent resources are ready to be exploited in the social support-net of the rural mothers of 0～3 years old infants.3. The mothers of 0～3 years old children get from the informal social support system is mainly of tools, emotion less, and information the least. The social support givers are family-kin-neighbors-friends. With the center of family, this kind of relationship is of inheritance. But such a relation is quite distant and it is difficult to integrate effective social resources.4. Although imperfection is the main reason for mothers of 0～3 years old children to get little social support, the factors of themselves are more important ones.5. The mothers of 0～3 years old children make little use of the social support. On the one hand, they lack of activeness. On the other, the social support for them is limited.According to the results, social support system for the mothers of 0～3 years old children will be built in two ways— to strengthen the formal social support system and to perfect the informal social support system with family support as the center. Discussion is undertaken that whether the ability of scientific rearing children is improved by enhancing the maternal social support system, Real materials are provided for the early rearing and education of the rural 0～3 years old infants.
