| Content: In the Wan-li times' literary world of the Ming Dynasty, Li Wei-zhenwas characteristic of special status. He had difficulties in his political career, yet had a large circle of friend. In normal life, he always kept a mentality that was fit for him. He made contact with different people of different social stratum and received different trends of thought by an open-minded attitude, so his view got constantly enriched and perfected. His poetic theory of 'suit one's actions to changing conditions and be fit for oneself in every aspect', which was center on 'fit', explained the dialectical connections between being opinionated oneself with imitating ancients from the four aspects about being fit for talent, feelings, style and times. So, Li Wei-zhen broke though the fence of Qi-zi school, and considered that one could have an unique style if only he combined the ancient and the present, used his own talent and learning, expressed his true feelings and described the scene in his eyes. This sensible and changeable theory provided reference for the Gong-an school in the middle Wan-li times and the Jing-ling school in the late Wan-li times. His poems had all kinds of poetic forms, especially seven-syllable poems that embodied his talent and learning well.
