The Japanese Image In The Novels Of The Creation Society Of Early Stage

From the angle of the studying of image, this paper investigated the Japanese image in the novels of Creation Society of early stage and its historical background, attempted to reveal Chinese social cultural background and its writers' cultural psychology, and then explored the law in creation of " the image of foreign country" and its basic feature.This paper was composed of three parts.The first part sketched the Japanese image in the novels. From the four aspects such as the Japanese people image, the Japanese city image, the Japanese nature image and the Japanese nation image, the novels were outlined briefly. The Japanese images in the novels of the Creation Society of early stage may generalized briefly to three kinds from the angle of the relation between author and the images: author or hero liking the Japanese image , author or hero detesting the Japanese image, author or hero holding neutral attitude to the Japanese image.The second part analyzed background of the Japanese image in the novels of the Creation Society. Modern age before, from the Chinese common feeling, the Japanese folkway was pure, and the Japanese was enthusiastic, and they lived and worked in contentment, and it was a place of alien culture, which formed the image foundation for the writers of Creation Society in the early years to create the Japanese image. Since Modern age, The Chinese double attitude of love and hates for that Japanese influenced the Japanese image in the novels.The third part analyzed cultural psychology of the writers who created theJapanese image, and illustrated the close relations between the Japanese image and the three kinds of cultural psychologies of the writers — the male centralism, the self-abased psychology of the Creation Society writers in the early years, and the Japan-oriented psychology.
