Study On Xinjiang Uygur Cultural Prompting Association

Xinjiang Uygur Cultural Prompting Association is an organization which was semi-official during Sheng Shicai's ruling Xinjiang. This dissertation focuses on it and its important activities and the formation of the organization. Meanwhile, the author wants to discuss the historical effect and experience of Xinjiang Uygur Cultural Prompting Association. The author studies the whole process of the organization from its beginning to the end. The whole dissertation is divided into five parts.Chapter one is on the historical background and the formation of the organization, including the quality and the task of the organization and source of the funds. The second part: Xinjiang Uygur cultural prompting association and Xinjiang minorities educations. It introduces the primary schools, middle schools and normal training classes etc. which were put up by Xinjiang Uygur cultural prompting Association. The author ananyzes the advantages and disadvantages of these schools. The third part: Public activities and work for anti-Japan war. It mainly discussed the quality of schools and their donation activities. They donated four planes for the Anti-Japan War. The fourth part: Press and cultural activities and art activities launched by Uygur Cultural Prompting Association. It sumsup the features of these activities .The fifth part: The historical effect of Uygur Cultural Prompting Society made some contribution to Xinjiang society; It prompted the development'of Xinjiang modern press industry. It saved some precious Uygur traditional culture.But Xinjiang Uygur Cultural Prompting Society has some negative effect also. For example,there are some problems brought by the schools they held. Those schools produced some bad effect in Xinjiang. They did harm to the peace of Xinjiang and to the profit of the people in Xinjiang.Since Shenshicai went to Kuomingtang, Xinjiang Uygur Cultural Prompting Association became one of the bases of the policy propaganda of Kuormngtang government in 1942^ Xinjiang Uygur Cultural Prompting Association became one of the bases of Kuomingtang. It gave up the original principles. Xinjiang Uygur Cultural Prompting Society began its declination. In June in 1950, Xinjiang Uygur Cultural Prompting Society merged into Xinjiang People's Democratic Alliance.
