Witch culture is one of old cultural heritages of Yi area, flourishing for millenniums, strongly concentrated and showed in folk custom and art , involving such a lot of research fields as anthropology , sociology , philosophy , history , folklore , ethnology , science of culture , religion studying and medicine and pharmacology ,etc. It has special meaning and research value. This paper has carried on some elementary arrangement and analysis to witch culture of Yi area, expecting to realize Yi's culture and custom from a new angle , trying to look for some oldest culture remains factors among them to help us understand human civilization more deeply.The formulation of witch culture in Yi district, is based on the folk primitive faith of Yi, an organic whole of worshipping the ancestor, nature, totemism and efficacious things.ln Yi area, Bimo and Suni are center of belief activities, and representatives of Yi's witch culture.Nuo culture is rheology of witch culture, and the old culture matter regarding driving the epidemic disease and receiving luck as objects, taking witchcraft sorcery activity as the centre. Through the analysis to Yi's regional witch culture, put forward the proposition how to adopt a correct attitude towards the national cultural heritage, discuss how to make traditional witch culture resource of Yi reorganized in open humane environment during tourism development, make it become tool which develops tourism economy, and resist the one-way mainstream cultural homogeneity trend that will be brought unavoidably inglobalization and development of western regions, protect and promote various culture, strengthen consciousness and enthusiasm that people protect national culture, create mechanism of benign cycle.of cultural protection and tourism development.
