Along with the piano popularization and upgrade on the judgment of music, piano accompaniment has become into one of the most important methods in music activities. Theory and application of piano extemporization improvisation turn into the emphases in music education. In piano extemporization improvisation, figure is very important for the overall design of accompaniment. In a manner of speaking, figure is crucial for the art effect of piano extemporization improvisation. Currently among all kinds of books on piano extemporization improvisation, the whole music playing structure is the most concerned, but it still lacks of the in-depth analysis in theory. Especially regarding to the theory on figure of accompaniment, most people are still focusing on the several fundamental forms and seldom go deep into the disciplinarians that could developing the playing skills to upper level. At the same time, the theory on the overall design, applications of the figure of accompaniment, and factors on affecting art practice is also not enough. Therefore, this topic has been so important. It can not only enrich the piano accompaniment improvisation theory and make progress on extemporization but also bring the special significations on developing methods of the piano accompaniment improvisation.In the first chapter, author pointed out the three most importantproblems on the current analysis of figure in the existing piano extemporization improvisation books. The first problem is that it lacks of in-depth analysis on the fundamental theory on the figure of piano accompaniment improvisation. The second is that the design of figure should consider more on the combination of theory and actual practice. The third problem is that analysis on the factors of affecting application of the figure of piano accompaniment improvisation is not so richness. Therefore, those problems resulted in the current low stage in design and application of the figure of piano extemporization in college students. It is so urgent for us to solve those problems.In chapter two, in order to solve the problems mentioned in Chapter one, author did thorough analysis on the evolvements of figure of accompaniment based on its fundamental methods. From many piano accompaniment improvisation literatures, author picked up some representational sound spectrograms and then did thorough analysis on fundamental forms and evolvements on figure of accompaniment. Moreover, author also analyzed the three fundamental methods, which includes chord, decomposed chord and partial decomposed chord. From a brand new and unique perspective, author has made the detailed explanations on figure evolvement from three aspects, which are present method, voice part and technical way. At the same time, cross-relationship and integration among those aspects are also analyzed in this thesis.
