The major idea of the text is to reveal the relationship between Li-zhi's thoughts and Mencius' thoughts which based on the study of the logical development of the category of Nature and the prevue of some important Confucians about the category of Nature in the period between Song and Yuan dynasty. Lee's thought was the transcendence to original Mencius' thoughts after absorbing the explication in history as well as the returning. Lee did not want to negate the traditional principle of Goodness of Human Nature, but the fixed and patterned Goodness.Cheng and Zhu's idea emphasized a compulsive might from outside and asked human accorded with this exterior rational criterion which would limited the development of individual. To the contrary, Lu and Wang school did their best to make Nature noumenon transfer from outer to inner. They argued against the excess despotism of li. They made great efforts to provide evidence based on theory for validation of individual plural development.Lee believed that the established human had not been the natural human. All established positions which ought to be including the man should be negated. He want to investigate the nature of human under the ultimate complete affection of Bu Rong Yi of human nature, so that human can present pure individual without previous fixed pattern and then achieve the individual plural development in the human diversified figures filled with conflicts. Li-zhi's views all could be found source from Mencius. So, it can be said, from Mencius' the doctrine of Goodness of Human Nature to Li-zhi's theory of Tong Xin, the theory of Nature category experienced a spiral development in Chinese traditional philosophy.
