The Study Of Kid Literature Of Cai Zelong

Being a pioneer in children's literature of Korean Minority Chinese and one of first generation writers of Korean Minority Chinese, Cai Zelong's 70-year commitment was mainly in creation works in the field of the children's literature, his distinguished dedication made his effort an integral part in establishing and developing the literature.Despite his undeniable contribution to the literary history and to the children's literary history of Korean Minority Chinese, he was not fairly appraised for historical reasons and some other facts. Though some research activities over his works in children's literature initiated since 1990, only a couple of relevant studies and comments are available. A study on his works in children's literature was always considered nothing much new to be expected. Thanks to a recent discovery of his "Nursery Rhymes" (by 3 writers), which was discovered by a Korean Shin Hyunduk (transliteration), studies and in-depth researches over Cai Zelong's earlier works in the children's literature are actively brought. Through aspects of subjects and artistry of his works, further studies to his successful creations are considered necessary.This comprehensive study and research is conducted against his works selected from his nursery rhymes, children's verses, children's novels, and fairy-tales over periods of 1920~1950, 1980.Main chapters of the study are as follows : chapter 1, Cai Zelong's career and his literary activities; chapter 2, receptive status of the proletarian children's literature; chapter 3, Cai Zelong and children's literature of Korean Minority Chinese; Chapter 4. specific study and research over his works in the post-liberation period of China through aspects of subjects & artistry of his nursery rhymes, children's verses.Through his legendary career, his creations of nursery, children's verses, his other literary works, a fairly re-appraising and a re-spot lighting over his achievements will be considered as comprehensive and scientific appraisals of the literary history & children's literary history of KoreanMinority Chinese. Therefore, special meanings are attached to positioning Cai Zelong's literary activities and to positioning him in the literary history. This study is aiming to highlight his rocky literary life and to credit him rightly with his contribution to the children's literary history of Korean Minority Chinese.
