Zhuzhouxian is beside of Xiangjiang river. It is located in the middle-east of Hunan provice. Zhuzhouxian dialect is belong to Changyi area of Xiang-dialect. But it shares common character with Gan-dialect. For example, the full voiced consonants changed into aspirated voiceless consonants. By comparing middle-ancient phonology with Zhuzhouxian dialect,we can find some successive and corresponding relation between them.Consonants: The full voiced consonants changed into aspirated voiceless consonants;The group of Fei,Fu,Feng now changed into [f];It envolved into [n] from consonants in the group of Ri,Ni,Yi ; It palatalized [t(?)],[t(?)~h],[(?)] from the consonants in the group of Jing,Jian,Xiao; It envolved into [t(?)],[t(?)~h],[(?)] from the consonants in the group of Zhi,Zhang ; It envolved into [η] from the consonants in the group of Yi,Ying ; It envolved into [0] from the consonants in the group of Wei,Ri,Yun,Yi.Vowels:The ends of the vowels [-p -t -k] in RU was vanished,and they changed into YIN tone vowels; The ends of the vowels [-m] was vanished,and they changed into [-n] vowels and nasalised [i] [a] now; Deng and Hu was simplified, it envolved into 4 Hus(Kaikou,Hekou,Qichi,Cuokou) from 2 Dengs 4 Hus.Tone:Ping of the voiceless consonants in middle-ancient became Yinpin, Ping of the full voiced and semi-voiced consonants in middle-ancient became Yangping; Shang of the voiceless consonants and semi-voiced consonants in middle-ancient became Shang, Shang of the full voiced consonants in middle-ancient became Qu; Most of the Qu in middle-ancient became Qu, a few of Qu became Ru; Ru of the voiceless consonants and some voiced consonants in middle-ancient became Ru,Ru of the most full voiced consonants and a few semi-voiced consonants in middle-ancient became Qu.
