Literary translation has long been considered as a controversial topic in translation study. Research conducted in this area is also innumerable. But translation of children's literature, being a special branch in this field, has been neglected for decades. Although the input of foreign children's literature is an important means to broaden children readers' horizon, the correlative translation study in China is still stagnated as a systemic conclusion of the achievements made in May Fourth period. With the development of children's education and literature in China, the research on translating for children should keep up with the pace as well.Dialogism is the kernel of Bakhtin's theory. He believes language is a social event which cannot exist without dialogue. The existence of life should be testified by at least two voices. Dialogism is a micro-study. It highlights carnivalism and the equal rights of the participants involved in the dialogue. The dialogic structure can also be found in literary translation. This structure is constructed by four pairs of dialogic relations: the dialogue between the translator and the author; the dialogue between the translator, the source text and the target text; the dialogue between the translator and the reader; the dialogue between the target text and the reader. Although the dual readers in translation of children's literature make it distinguished from translating for adults, the game spirit and respect for the less experienced children readers are coincident with the essence of dialogism. Therefore, interpreting translation of children's literature by the analysis of the dialogic structure is a feasible experiment in this field. The dialogic approach to translation of adult's literature is not new, but for children's literature whose study is still limited in the children-oriented translation, it is still a new method. The translation study for adult's literature is diversified and comprehensive presently. The development of translating for children should also follow the way.Peter Pan is a classic of English children's literature. There is no wordplay or mock poems in it. It is famous for the moral and pleasure in the story, which is a typicalfeature of the literary text for children today. The dialogic analysis of the three Chinese versions of Peter Pan proves the dialogic structure is applicable in translation of children's literature. Moreover, whether the version is a successful translation can also be judged from this structure. Among the three versions, Yang Jingyuan's translation bridges the author and reader without interrupting the dialogue between the other two parties, thought it is the earliest one, it is still the best.Translation of visual language is also an essential part in translating for children. Illustration in children's books is an auxiliary tool to interpret the text into pictures. A good translation of children's literature is made by the corporation between the translator and illustrator.Children are the new strength for our society. Children's literature is not only the reading material, but also the effective way for children to know the world. Since the birth of children's literature is fairly late in China, the pace of the translation study on it is comparatively slow. The problems revealed in the case study are still unsolved currently. As a result, to accelerate the development of translation of children's literature, more concern and efforts are necessary for the research in this special area.
