Love ideal was brilliant at the beginning of new period" . we have been nearly impossible to gain the moving strength of love from the contemporary fiction again after the middle of 1980s.Where has our love gone ?Why has our love ideal lost? Those are not both inevitable and reasonable .I have pointed out the phenomenon and analyzed reasons why had the love ideal been dropped combining with the writers and works in this thesis which stands the position in criticism. Love has always be closely relevant with the living circumstances which is reflected by people's love view. The author intends to ponder over our historical and contemporary circumstances through discussing the dropping of love ideal. This thesis will be divided into 3 chapters :The first chapter will make an analysis of the various expression (trends)of love ideal and the changes of implication of love ; The second chapter will probe reasons in many ways such as cultural traditional, social changes, outside cultural influence as well asliterature itself ; The third chapter will put forward my opinion ------appeal presentand future fiction to mould love ideal and seek love again.
