The Value Of Hanshu Yiwenzhi In The Literature Study

HanshuYiwenzhi (汉书·艺文志) (hereafter refers to asHanzhi(汉志)is one of theten wills in Han shu(汉书), the first Chinese annals catalogue, and the earliestcomprehensive state library catalogue as well. This thesis, which takes Hanzhi as thefirst-hand material, refers to HanshuZhu (汉书注)by Yan Shigu in Tang Dynasty,HanshuYiwenzhizhushihuibian(汉书艺文志讲疏)by Gu Shi, HanshuYiwenzhijiangshu (汉书艺文志注释汇编)by Chen Guoqing, elaborates a series of theorical achievements ofHanzhi in the literature study domain and appraises its status in the literature studyhistory ,mainly from view angle of literature study .This thesis,which mainly take the bibliography, the book carrier, the textual criticism,false distinguishing study and annotation type as the research starting point of research, dealwith the literature study value of Hanzhi. Hanzhi ,which is indebeted to BieLu (别录)byLiu Xiang and QiLue (七略)by Liu Xin and opens SuishuJingjizhi (隋书·经籍志)hasextremely important status in the Chinese bibliography history. It has inherited thebibliography thought of 'BianzhangXueshu,KaojingYuanliu' ("辨章学术,考镜源流")inBieLu and Qilue and founded the beginning of annals bibliography and influencedSuishuJingjizhi in the books description,the books classification and the category forewordat the same time.The literature from pre-Qin to Han Dynasty in our country mainly took thebamboo slip and the fine silk as a carrier .In addition, the animal bones ,tortoise shells, JinHeshi and so on also has been used .The argument about the name "volumn"or"piece" islong-standing.This paper discusses this problem in detai according to the record Hanzhi andgets the conclusion that "piece"has its source in the bamboo slip and "volume" has its sourcein the silk book. This thesis also discusses the value of Hanzhi in the necessity of collating,the preparation of collating and the method and content of collating.The record about thefalse book in Hanzhi is quite full and accurate.The thesis multianalyzes the type of falsebooks,the method of telling false books and the reason why false books appears record inHanzhi.The record about modern and the classical literature in Hanzhi reflected the strugglebetween modern and classical literature in Han Dynasty and the social thought at thattime.And the record about the annotation type in Hanzhi is of great help for scholars to studythe annotation development situation in Han Dynasty. At the end, the thesis analyzs thedeficiency of Hanzhi in studying the reason why false book appear and the book collectionsystem in ancient times.In brief, a series of theoretical achievements of Hanzhi in the literature studydevelopment sets every example in many domains of Chinese literature study development.Ithas not only inherited the quintessence of the predessors but also opened guide of the laterscholars.
