| Although the academia has identified with the thought way of the systemic study on vocabulary, at the same time more and more scholars have pay more attention to those vocabulary of semantic field such as vocabulary on color and on appellation, most of us haven't pay enough recognition to the glossary system of temperature semantic field. And the prevenient study mostly concerned on fragmentary observation and sentiment of phrase, and those study usually limit to represent isolated phenomena, so it may lack of the study on deep-seated mechanism of the developing of glossary's meanings and the study on latent rule of the developing of glossary's meanings. In fact, though the thought way called describe-explain isn't perfect, by now it becomes a developing direction of linguistic study. This article will take systemic and cognitive linguistic as study vision, selecting temperature vocabulary as the study category, and selecting three ancient times-mediaeval times temperature words-"leng", "han", "liang" which describe cold in different degree as the specific study object, trying to make a progress on the basis of the prevenient study on temperature vocabulary. And will try to live up to: from describe to explain;to describe will lay particular stress on system, to explain will lay particular stress on cognize;and post the rule of the developing of temperature, pop out culture when explain.This article could be divided into three parts:The first one will mainly to introduce the significance and status of this problem, and will introduce the object, the material and the study method of this article.The second part will mainly concern on describing the venation of the development of the meaning of the three words: "leng" "han" "liang" systematically, and then use the theory on cognition and metaphor to make cognitive analyze on the forming and developing of the meaning of "leng", "han", "liang".The third part will firstly divided "the family words" of "leng", "han", "liang" into different species by the way they derive from the three words. Then to discuss the predecessor's cognize activity in the course of the developing of vocabulary system.In the the fourth part this article will post and sum up the special rule of the developing of vocabulary and the cultural significance which reflected by the cognize course. |
