In the consumption age in which the commodity value makes a great.use, the elegant and pure literature has to divert to be civilian-oriented. In the transition process, with the oppression given by visual culture to the traditional literature, part from writers turn to film, television and other kinds of visual forms, and get a lot of readers for themselves. Hai Yan , who is a quite remarkable writer and write both novels and television scripts, overlapped works out and won a lot of readership and audience, casting a representative of the commercial value of "Hai Yan". This thesis tries to talk about the cooperation of literature and the electronic media in the background of consumption age and visual culture, from perspective Hai Yan's works. In visual image-driven consumer society, we entered into the era of visual culture, in which the culture of life and cultural patterns operated primarily by the show and watch of images . The world of literature is going to be marginalized. On the one hand, literature with its own aesthetic identity is irreplaceable;on the other hand, the literature on the siege of the visual culture is abandoning some of its positions, and turning to be visualized. Literature and electronic media are making a increasingly close relationship, searching benefit for themselves. For example, Hai Yan's novels feed the need of the consumption age As a best-selling novelist, he is trying to satisfy the appetite of the most people in consumer society. He made the wonderful city scene, the Utopia with true love and kindness, and the complicated and intricate plot which can hold the hearts of the readers. In his frequently contact with television, Hai Yan's novels made a clear transition to be visualized and had lots of visual characters on themselves, for example: strong descriptive in nature, highlighting descriptive, the shape of the letter, and the skipping structures. In spite of that, as we all know that what makes success also leads to failure, excessive love for the strange plots and too slipshod calligraphy became fatal injuries of his novels.Hai Yan ,who got more readers for books and more audiences for television, made a great success in the expansion of literature space and the improvement of the taste of the television viewer. However, in the reality that the literature turns to be community, and under the drive of commercial incentives and market needs, Hai Yan's novels, with thevisualized label, have inevitably suffered the lost of its literature character. On Hai Yan's writing, we can see the various possibilities for the cooperation of literature and visual arts, and can also see the extreme and limitations of them.
