The Deconstruction And Reconstruction Of Literary Canons In The Consumption Era

The literary canon is a hot issue in the research of Chinese literature and Western literature in 20th century. First of all, this paper begins from the original interpretation of Chinese and Western "canon", outlines and summarizes the three main characteristics of literature canon: the unity of time-spirit and transcending nature, the unity of national characters and global nature, the unity of originality and standard. When comes to the construction momentum and complex factors of literary canons ,facing the present theory of the existence and construction , the paper points out that their views are reasonable, but also one-sided opinion, the formation of literary canons should be "internal" elements and "external" forces role.Interpretation science from the methodology to the identity has a profound impact on literary canons. As an identity theory, it asserts that interpretation of literary canon is a historical process and will never end, but toward the future and open up unlimited. Any one has its perspective and focus on the clean side and the shelter side, it is often coexist of profound insights and obstacles blind. Aesthetic interpretation, ideological interpretation, cultural interpretation, the three basic dimensions have their necessity, reasonableness, adaptability, insights and shelter of interpretation. The ideal interpretation of the results should be effective integration of the three dimensions.The rise of consumption society, the consumerism culture and image-culture is the most significant feature of the contemporary era. Consumption culture has tremendous impact on the literary canons and has changed the text of the classic patterns and the dissemination of the canons. It also benefits for the return of the secular classic and removes the sacred ring Veil, but on the other hand it has clear up the meaning depth of canons and given dilution to the spirit of the canons. Consumption culture has changed the cultural context and value norms of literary canons thus changed the public acceptance psychology, acceptance purpose, vision and reading attitudes. With the development of electronic media technology, the emergence of the visual culture also had a major impact on the canon, so that classical production mechanisms and aesthetic character of the canon changed considerably. It had promoted the popularity of the canon and the democratization of arts, so that the public acceptance ways and acceptance effect of the canons experienced obvious changes, from the past "linear reading thinking" mode to "visual audio-visual communication."In today's context of the consumption era, it becomes more necessary to mention the value of the canon. The Canon has important spiritual values, cultural values and construction identity functions of national culture. In the process of reconstructing canon,we should use the dialectical vision of Marxist, starting from the context of the age, succeed the fine arts spirit and essence of thinking, let canon reflect the spirit of the era.
