The idea of IKEA has fully gone into each consumer all around the world by the product of IKEA. All of this not only needs the excellent design, but also needs the good design management. Therewith the same time, the industry of living furniture in China does not have such complete design management. This paper is making study of the design management of IKEA in such situation.First make discussion about the framework of design management, and then according the theory of design management, to make the study in the IKEA design management system, which includes decision-making of design, management of design project, and management of CI.By the analysis above, we find that the logistic of IKEA is the great point of the IKEA design management system, which is also the very important platform of IKEA management system. The logistic system provide with a clear structure of the operation of the corporation, and through this structure the design policy make action to the management of design project, which includes three key factors: cost control, green supply management, and organization of design. The three factors inter-action, and inter-limit. The design management is the plan as whole to manage them. On the other hand, the CI management of IKEA transfers the design policy to the market and consumers, to build up a good image of IKEA in public.Finally set up the design management mode of IKEA, which carefully show the framework of design management of IKEA, and make a value accession about the mode. At the end of paper, from the situation of IKEA in China and accordingly the creative in design management, the Chinese corporation may learn a lot from IKEA. |
