The correct and scientific piano-playing technique is very important to the enormous piano educational system in our country. The various existing theories of piano-playing have led to, in the teaching system, many different schools, among which disputes never stops. One of the reasons is that all these theories cannot be considered of being based on human physiological science. In this thesis, research is made for principles in piano-playing technique from the point of view of human physiological structures and functions with the help of the findings in the fields of anatomy, medical science, physiology and sports physiology. It provides piano players with the most natural, integrated and correct methods of finger movements, thus helps them improve their piano-playing techniques, and hopefully, provides scientific physiological basis for piano teaching. The structure of the thesis is as the following:Chapter One: Physiological principles related to piano-playing.First all the human organs involved in piano-playing are found;then the adjusting function of human nerve system on those organs is discussed. And then how human sensation system involved is analyzed.Chapter Two: The physiological process in piano-playing1. The study of the physiological process of piano-playing2. The study of the time-phrase for piano-playing3. The study of the possible ways of improving the skill of piano-playing4. The study of the possible ways of an automatic reaction in piano-playing5. The study of the transmission and processing of the piano-playing techniques6. The study of the impact of feedback in piano-playing Chapter Three: Principles in PracticingFirstly the principles in training the fingers, arms and muscles are discussed. Secondly the principles of straining and relaxing are scanned. And then the principles of following the natural physiological rules are considered. Lastly the physiological characteristics of children and the related teaching methods are stated.
