This thesis combs the marriage and love novels of the modern women writers to search for the process of their gradually mature understanding of love, marriage and family. In fact, this gradual maturity also enables them to deconstruct the love myth created by different writers, which has been planted deeply into the heart of our people unconsciously for hundreds of years.Setting out from the actual works, the opening chapter elaborates the deconstruction of different love myths, such as free love, independent marriage, everlasting love, lofty love and so on. Modern women writers smash the sacred aureole and eternity of traditional ideal love, pulling love back to the miscellaneous worldly life and exposing the various defects and dissatisfaction of love myth.Chapter 2 offers a close examination of the characteristics of the deconstruction. Due to the changes of times, different women writers' deconstruction of love myth is also in a dynamic state and shows various characteristics--- the reducing grievous tears and the increasing "smile with tears";less sentimental expression and more rational thinking;the brave facing of sensitive questions and the ability to criticize others as well as themselves.Chapter 3 tries to explore the reasons for this deconstruction of love myth.Originally, for most females, love equals life. But the suppression of social morals deprives them of acquiring sweet love, which is the external reason for their deconstruction of love myth. What's more, puberty young girl's impulse and blindness to love, plus traditional dependence on the opposite sex both economically and spiritually also result in many love tragedies. Last but not the least, modern women writers' marriage or love failures, the source of their literary creation, also constitute one vital internal reason."Reconstruction is not to dismantle or to damage", "it needs to think again at the end of thinking." Although modern women writers deconstruct the love myth, they leave much thinking food for the followers. We can see the continuation and development of this deconstruction clearly from the marriage and love novels of contemporary women writers. Undoubtedly, with the ever increasing concern and thinking of love in the female creations in the future, women writers are sure to offer more profound and more unique understanding to this eternal topic of literature, love.
