| Marxism philosophy itself is a open system. Engels has explicitly accentuated: " Along with each epoch-making discovery in region of science, materialism inevitably changes its forms;since we had interpreted history in materialism, a new road was set up." These change come form mutual promotion between science and philosophy. Latest and most appropriate scientific fruits provide for materialism useful empirical data to advance, and contemporary western philosophers' cognition on mental phenomenon present inspiration for developing Marxism philosophy. It's vital for every philosophical worker to summarize these scientific and philosophical fruits.The theory of mind flourishes in contemporary western philosophical circles, and several doctrines emerge in an endless stream, for instance, Behaviorism, Functionalism, Computationalism, etc. These theory of mind fleetly give rise to significant change in specific science. The Computational Theory of Mind is no other than a typical case in exploring the puzzle of mind.CTM makes exposition of mystery of mind as its' goal, it compares brain producing consciousness with hard ware of computer, and regards mind as software of computer system., then holds that there is a same working principle between human beings' mind and computer system. Thus, the essence of thinking is computation, and mental process is a process executing program. Since the great influence of computer, CTM is prevailing in philosophical circle, and become a philosophical subject arousing severe debates. Meanwhile, more and more new theoretical forms emerges form the whirl away in computer industry, e.g., some philosophers draw an analogy between human beings' mind with fictitious network composing of several computers, and others consider mind as huge network of neuronal ensemble, but the working principle of these network are still computation. After all, could these theory of mind use for reference to the theory of mind of Marxism philosophy? If they can , where their positive significance consist in ?This paper try to make a simple exploratory analysis of these questions.The first part of this paper expounds Marxism philosophy's theory of mind. I willstart form the investigation to Marx's theory of consciousness, then explain the significance of researching theory of mind in Marxism philosophy, classical writers' basic views of spirit\mind and other mental phenomenon, the relation between Marxism philosophy's theory of mind with development in specific science, and important relationship between western philosophy's research and Marxism philosophy.The second part will give a detailed introduction CTM being ardently discussed by contemporary western philosophical circles. In this chapter, I will start out of the history of this theory, and clearly explain its' essential philosophical claims, the fundamental reason of generating disputes by CTM, as well as its' evolutionary logic.The third part is conclusive one. This part will give a theoretical analysis to CTM, and reveal the possible inspiration to contemporary advancement of Marxism philosophy's theory of mind .Of course, it will reflect these suggestive significance, and on the basis of this work , try to put forward basic programs and principles for constructing a new theory of mind. |
