| This paper deeply analyzes the various layers of influence with which the culture of shamanism has impacted Chizjjian' s writing. The essay has five parts:1. Shamanistic culture : the cultural traditions have influenced ChiZijian' s portrayal of individual characters. She has been deeply influenced by the culture of the northeastern terrain . Shamanism prevails in her hometown of Daxingan mountain , and surely influences her writing.2. The world of mystic Shamanism' s folk-customs: The striking volume of Shamanism in ChiZijian's works makes for a style all its own .characterized by Shamanistic riturals. The way ChiZiijian describes these folk-customes enables us to distinguish the great influence Shamanism has had upon her writing .3. The Shamanistic perspective on death: The unique way ChiZijian writes about death comes in line with theShamanistic viewpoint . This influence is subtle but real.4. Comparing the different influences their respective religions have upon ChiZijian and Kawabata Yasunari' s writings regarding death : Shamanism is originally a polytheistic religion , whereas Buddhism is a modern monotheistic religion. ChiZijian enormously admires Kawabata Yasunari' s "death consciousness" has been influenced by Buddhism . We will compare and contrast the religious viewpoints on death held by these two authors. We will especially unfold the influence which Shamanism has on ChiZijian's "deathconsciousness".5. Aesthetics and Shamanistic culture : ChiZijian writes romantically and mystically. The aesthetics of these qualities in her writing allow us to exanine the influence of Shamanism in her works. |
