From Novel Texts To Movie And TV Texts

In the 1990s, some novels of "seventeen Years " were adapted to the same name of movies and TV plays. Soon, adaptation from novels of "seventeen Years" to movies & TV plays became a special culture view on TV in 2005. Social association such as government, media, academic spread out ardently criticism and discuss against adaptation from novels of "seventeen Years" to movies & TV plays. Times spirit, changes of culture and aesthetic sense, infiltrate of popular consume showed each characteristic in this special cultural practice. How took shape for the hot of novels of "seventeen Years" adapted from novel texts to movie and TV texts. Try to answered these questions was the focus of my thesis. In this paper, I analyzed the reason of adaptation from novels of "seventeen Years" to movies & TV plays. Compared narration difference between novel texts and movie and TV play texts, "seventeen Years" of movie and TV play had new narrate form, artistic quality and aesthetic judgment in different artistic medium. In one hand, it brought forth new ideas and variation, in other hand, it existed defect add shortcoming. The paper pointed out that rebuilding of modern culture in china, establishing of mental world was more difficult than setting up of matter civilization. So it affirming the rationality of desire was not meaning giving up the same ideal. Modernization of china was not only building of economic order but also defending of spirit faith and rebuilding of tradition. So, set up the humane spirits in the basis of modern market reason and science democracy, rebuilding modern cultural classics was the first important question in china's building of culture in new century.
