"Introducing From Outside" And "Establishing Domestic Connections" Of Chongqing Economy In The Period Of Anti-Japanese War

It is the most important stage of Chongqing society economy during the Anti-Japanese war. Only during several years, Chongqing was developed from an ordinary medium city to an international big city. It not only became a politics and civilization center of the area ruled by the Kuomintang, but also became an industry, commerce, finance and traffic center. "Introducing from outside" and "establishing domestic connections", Chongqing had entered into a "golden age" of economy development. "Introducing from outside" not only solved the problem of fund and technology needed by Chongqing economy but laid a foundation for the basic structure of Chongqing economy, and formed the foundation of economy developing from a high starting point; and "establishing domestic connections" had fully given play to introduce enterprise the backbone of economy and playing a leading role, and fully enlarged the capacity of enterprise production and service in Chongqing, still fully gave play to the ingestion and radiation effect of periphery district.
