Since language is inseparably related with culture, it is important to understand the culture of target language and the culture education to communicate effectively with foreigners.Therefore, this study is aimed at realizing the importance of culture in Chinese education and improving Chinese communicate competence by suggesting an effective culture teaching methodology which is proper for our classroom situation.In order to achieve this goal, this study deals with the ways Chinese communication based on the conscious structure between Korea and China and an effective culture teaching is emphasized through the survey to know the high school-students understanding of the Chinese culture.This finding implies that the culture education is taught little in the classroom. Therefore, this study suggests that the necessity of culture education and an effective teaching methodology of culture to improve Chinese communicate competence.However, accepting this culture education is required for a remedy to resolve the difficulties cause by the culture education and the contents of linguistic learning and cultural learning should be taught adequately by teachers in Chinese education.In short, the understanding of culture is essential to improve a Chinese communicative competence, so that Chinese teachers should help the learners to get the insight related to similarities and differences between and Chinese culture and their own culture.
