Research On Dance-in-Circle Yangge In Gehetu In Baotou In Inner Mongolia

Yangge dance is a typical Chinese folk dance in North China. It is called yangge or shehuo in Baotou in Inner Mongolia. Baotou, at the foot of Yin Mountains and beside Yellow River, is known as a port city and an important trade city in northwest. As time went by, people in the up-country gradually move to the borderland, which promote the unity and communication between Hans and minor nationalities. In Qing dynasty, in a trend of"Going West", many people from Shanxi and Gansu moved in, who brought with them their folk arts, which had great influence on the development of yangge in Baotou. Dance-in -circle yangge in Gehetucun in Baotou developed in such a context.Based on its great values and its influence on the people, dance-in -circle yangge is chosen as the subject of postgraduate essay. In the process of research, both existing material and first hand material were used to analyze the historical development and musical formation of dance-in -circle yangge, and the artistic value of the special musical form was discovered.
