Research models of perceptual learning are very helpful to reveal the intrinsic mechanisms of learning and memory. The paradigm of synthetic speech learning shows generalization across multisystem of our perceptual. Being a more sophisticated learning activity, we still know less about how and where such a kind of learning been happened and what may affect on it. Our work is to adopt the perceptual learning of synthetic English speech to Chinese participants whom have taken English as a second language, and trying to find details about the learning effect and restrictions of this kind of generalized learning activity.99 voluntaries college students (aged 19.8 ±1.2) are randomly divided into 10 groups according to the experimental design, each participated in one group only. Under the control of a computer program, Stimuli were delivered through Yong Wei (YW-810MV) headphones. Our works are composed by 3 parts: First, Model building and verification. 29 participants in 4 groups would take part in 4 different learning tasks according to different word-list or computer programs to verify their learning effect; Second, Consolidation during nap of perceptual learning of synthetic speech. 30 participants in 3...
