On The Conceptions Of Wealth From The Angle Of Ethics

The conceptions of wealth is one's general views on wealth, indicating his/her basic ideas on ethics and value of life. With the development of opening and reforming and changes of society, Chinese outlook of wealth, inevitably, has been dramatically influenced and hence, undergoes a series of great changes, including not only positive and negative sides, but also so-called"grey changes", which have to be given further observation and consideration. However, modern China needs a set of conceptions of wealth, which must be in accordance with the requirements of ethics, to establish a harmonious society and better civilization and man's self-development, so that one's orientation of values can be correctly directed. According to the requirements of market economy, this paper is to, from three aspects, namely: the conceptions of getting rich, distribution and consumption, introduce a set of socialism conceptions of wealth; and the main philosophy are: (1) It is respectable to become rich by honest hard work, while despiteful to be poor as a result of laziness or to get rich dishonestly. (2) Advocating reasonable and healthy consuming and making contribution to society. At last, this paper is mainly concerned about how to construct the socialism conceptions of wealth, believing that it should be built both theoretically and practically.
