With the development of the humanistic approach to learning which emphasizes the individuality of each learner, the focus of the foreign language learning research gradually shifted from the exploration of teaching methods to the individual factors that affect their foreign language learning. The study of learning style and learning strategy occupies a significant position in the field.The research of language learner's learning styles and learning strategies has attracted researchers' attention in the recent thirty years, and has achieved some success. However, in China, most of the studies are restricted to theoretical discussions and English majors as their subjects. The present research is to investigate the two individual factors of Chinese non-English majors: listening strategy and learning style. The current study seeks to find out a) the overall learning style tendencies of non-English majors; b) the listening strategy profile of non-English majors; c) the correlation of learning styles and listening strategies.Totally 157 students from Capital Normal University participated in the study. The experiment includes tow parts: questionnaire and personal interview and SPSS is used to help the current researcher to analyze the collected data.The major findings of the current research are listed below:Firstly, all the participants prefer multiple learning styles instead of a singlelearning style. But there still exists learning style preferences for language learners.
