Ujumchin vernacular is considered one of the chahar vernacular of Mongolian. Reseachers have made some studies on the vowels of this vernacular by means of traditional phonetics, but no one has made any study on Ujumchin vernacular by means of the acoustic phonetics. Based on analysis of initial and non-initial short vowels, long vowels and its sound length , particular pictures of diphthongs, extra-short vowels, vowel harmony and word stress of Ujumchin vernacular by the acoustic phonetics methods, this article has given a detailed description on the phonetic features of Ujumchin vowel system. Moreover the thesis does a comparative research between its own features and the results of the acoustic analysis of the other Mongolian vernaculars, and also does a contribution to the phonetic research of the vernacular and it is a complement to the whole research of the Inner Mongolian dialect.
