| Making Ye xianzu, dramatist in late in Ming dynasty and his drama works as the objects of study, this article investigates Ye xianzu's experiences, main creations, and themes and artistic characteristics of the creations. This article is divided into four sections:Chapter 1: Preface introduces the reason and value of study, the summary of predecessors' studies, methods of study and the innovation of this article.Chapter 2: Expound Ye xianzu's thought and its influence on Ye xianzu's creation. Integrating with his special period background, analyze his main psychology characteristics, and introduce Ye xianzu's creations specifically.Chapter 3: Classify Ye xianzu's own creations and analyze themes of the creations. The themes of the creations are confused, which express author's complex and contradictory psychology. Love play embodies author's whole new marriage and love sight, woman sight and virtue sight. Historical play expresses feelings, grief and indignation, and criticize the realization. Complicated legal case play represents author's thought on the officer administration. And Religious play has an effect on persuading to be good and punishing the evil.Chapter 4: Expound the artistry of Ye xianzu's creations from four aspects completely which are tortuous and sensible action structure, various figures, splendid drama scripts binbai, and happy ending of reversing a previous judgment and making up for regret. Figures in dramas are various, words are smooth, and scripts are splendid. Meanwhile, author expresses his views by happy ending.
