The prominent role communication plays in business have engaged more and more scholars and experts' interest. Moreover, it has brought attention to linguists. Some linguists have focused their studies on business communication language, aiming to find out the basic rules of the language for particular purposes in varied styles and hence to give theoretical and scientific guidance for composing the text and to help the text achieve its ideal communication goals.China's entry to WTO made the global business world more complete and comprehensive. Local industries in China are stepping out of their traditional track with unprecedented changes — prestigious Chinese corporations have been conducting international mergers and acquisitions all over the world; the expanding exposure to the global market competition will midwife more MNC in China. In such atmosphere, to bridge language gap and communicate effectively between different cultures are key factors in international marketing and establishing global images. Corporate profile is the first window through which one can get an overview of his potential partners and ranks number one in clicking on the portal of company websites. It plays an irreplaceable role in marketing and corporate promotion as well as image establishing.This thesis is aimed to generalize the stylistic features of the English company profiles by American and Chinese respectively from the perspectives of graphology, lexis, syntax and textual analysis. It finally proposes techniques for company to compose corporate profiles professionally and with maximal communication effects.
