The research adopts qualitative methodology, taking cases of a music teacher, a dance teacher and an art teacher who are all called art teachers. The main data collection methods include the interviews and observation. Basing on the data collected, the research discusses the formation and development of the vocational skills by analyzing the course of vocational skills formation and development, and the internal and external factors that which influence the vocational skills formation and development. And then the research tries to make some conclusions on the characteristics of the development of the art teachers' vocational skills. Theses characteristics include nature, implicit course, a long-term of creating and art expertise in the development of specialized training. Meanwhile, the research reveals the diversity of path of vocational skills formation and development and complexity of the factors that influence the development of vocational skills.The thesis includes five chapters, and the following are the main points of each chapter:Chapter I : An introduction. This chapter includes the literature review and definitions of the general skills and the vocational skills, the art and the art teachers, the vocational development and the teachers' vocational development.Chapter II: An analysis of music teachers' vocational skills. This chapter analyzes the course of vocational skills formation and development, and internal and eternal factors that influence vocational skills formation and development, and then aggregates the vocational skills of music teachers which are professional skills and a monopoly of wisdom.Chapter III: An analysis of dance teachers' vocational skills. This chapter analyzes the course of vocational skills formation and development, and internal and eternal factors that influence vocational skills formation and development, and then aggregates the vocational skills of dance teachers which are professional skills and an emotional teaching.Chapter IV: An analysis of art teachers' vocational skills. This chapter analyzes the course of vocational skills formation and development, and internal and eternal factors that influence vocational skills formation and development, and then aggregates the vocational skills of art teachers which are to put up the wings of imagination on the students.Chapter V: A basic conclusion. This chapter concludes the universality and individuality of the art teachers' vocational skills, the characteristics of the development of the art teachers' vocational skills, the important factors that influencing the development of the art teachers' vocational skills.
