| With the development of economy and society, the society called for the graduates who master more language knowledge and language skills on English. However, the command level of English for graduates in non-English major can not meet the need of the progress on economy, science and technology. There is a great gap between them. The full analysis on current college English teaching situation indicates there are many problems in the college English teaching mode. The dissertation put forward "College English Teaching Mode of Fusing Cognition with Emotion", which integrates cognition with emotion on the basis of emotional psychology, realizing the fusion of cognition with emotion so as to improve teaching effect of college English.On the basis of study on current teaching situation and current teaching modes of college English, the dissertation analyzes the situation of the departure between cognition and emotion in the field of college English teaching, and simultaneously studies the relationship between college English reform and the fusion of cognition with emotion associating with the teaching theory of the fusion of cognition with emotion, and then conducts the theoretical discussion on that mode based on emotional psychological foundation on the fusion of cognition with emotion in college English teaching. With the methods of literature analyses, theories analysis, and teaching cases in class, the dissertation explores the adjustment with fusion of cognition with emotion on teaching design and teaching process, and assessment methods.The dissertation consists of three sections: the first part is the summarization on current college English teaching situation and current college English teaching mode. The second part displays the relationship between fusion of cognition with emotion and college English. The third part brings up the emotional psychological research and applications of college English teaching mode of fusing cognition with emotion. The construction of college English teaching mode of fusing cognition with emotion has its theoretical and practical foundation, emphases organic combination of cognition and emotion, and expects graduates' cognition activity and emotion activity at a state of unification and harmony and virtuous circle on the basis of active interaction by creating some teaching conditions, and producing a harmonious state of mind, thus inspiring graduates' learning interest, and stimulating graduates' learning initiative, furthering graduates' mastering English language knowledge and skills, and facilitating to cultivate graduates' ability of autonomic learning. |
