The Study On Wenxuan's Reduplicated Words

Wenxuan is the oldest collections of poetry in China . Only with the length of 30 scrolls, it generally covers the important works form the pre-Qin to early Liang Ye. It reflects the outline of various stylistic developments. It has preserved the vital information for the descendants to research literary history of 700-800 years ago from Zhou to the Southern Dynasties. At the same time, it has preserved an important language material.From the perspective of vocabulary study, we want to do the studies of the overlapping characters . In this paper, in the principle of diachrony and synchrony , there is a clear definition of the reiterative locution and measurement to count the number of the reiterative locution in Wenxuan according to their kind. This text reveals the appearing rules.From the point of the structure-relation in the reiterative locution, there are two kinds of reiterative locution: the simple word and the compound word. The former is a simple word with no structure-relation. The latter is the compound word with the structure of overlapping relationship.From types of semantic and the perspective of sensory effect, reiterative locution can be divided into three categories: Scenes Mode shape, imitate voices and pure cascade form.On the basis of the study of reiterative locution, I find the rules by the time clue in the perspective of the diachrony. In the perspective of synchrony, I discover the rules from the different and the same texts. The text reveals that the reiterative locution had played the important role in the article.In Wenxuan , it has 570 characters totally, which has appeared 1,297 times. 'Futi' accounts for more than half, which fully shows that the word is an integral part of rhetorical 'pianwen'. Conversely, there should be a very small probability of overlapping characters. We can see that researching vocabulary from the perspective of the subject of studying problems is also a good way.The reiterative locution in Wenxuan affect descendant's creation of literature from many points. In addition, it has a far-reaching impression on rhetorical arts and solidification of the idiom of the descendant.
