A Study On Interval Class-Sight Singing For Morden Music

Solfeggio is the foundation of professional music education,and the sight singing is an important part of Solfeggio.While,contemporary music is the essential content in teaching sight singing and ear training. Based on the author's own study and learning,this thesis addresses the fundamental concepts,major contents,and key elements in the theory of Interval Class,Meanwhile,the author applies the theory into teaching practices in contemporary music sight singing,and proposes a set of teaching methods based on the principles of Interval Class,which includes rules,requirements,modes in teaching practices.The thesis mainly contributes the development of traditional exercises of sight singing,and provides valuable references for further development of Solfeggio.
