Now, the postcolonial theory is being paid more and more attention by the awakening people, from all the world, with the arising of culture research and the awakening to the oppression of cultural hegemony. The postcolonial theory has the intrinsic character of anti-colonialism with the join of intellectuals from the First, the Second world and the awakening Third World. This makes the developing space of the postcolonial theory unlimited. Its theoretical frame of anti-imperialism is in accordance with the resisting mind of Chinese people, who have suffered the bitterness from the west invaders, and became a hot topic of academic circle of the 1990s with a series of achievements made in this area.Different people, different views. Many scholars paid more and more attention to the new theory, and leaded many debates, clearly, such debases and enthusiasm related to film theory of the time. Since 1990s,many scholars have been noticing the western post colonialism's negative influence on Chinese films and TV programs, and put forth some countermeasures, and used to the political digestion with a cogent way ,revealing the relationship of the social authority construction and forming the feasibility of film theory criticism. The postcolonial theory, as the weapon of theory, weapon of criticism, has great power.But, such weapon of theory, criticism, with the more and more discussion from different angles, how to understand, estimate and improve the theory ,and be rational or too drastic that criticizes the developing films use the theory of traditional ideas, and so on, so we have the necessary to research the Feasibility and Limitation of the film postcolonial theory of the time.I divide into five parts to discuss this question.
